Navy Blue has been really creeping its way back into fashion. And, it is no different for the fashion lingerie world. In the new Carol Malony Peek A Boo group, white lace is paired with navy satin. The wonderful contrast of the white with the satin navy makes a very sophisticated impression. The lace could stand on its own however. The edges of the lace are trimmed with eyelash lace which is the most feminine and fabulous detail.

Allergan,Inc, makers of the anti-wrinkle drug Botox, have another miracale cosmetic drug awaiting FDA approval. This one makes your eyelashes grow longer, thicker and darker. The active ingredient is called Bimatoprost, which is found in their glaucoma drug Lumigan. Patients using Lumigan found that their eyelashes were getting longer and thicker. They also notice discoloration of the iris and the skin around the eyes. Supposedly they are going to make an applicator so that the product will only go on the lashes, avoiding the unpleasant side effects. Let’s hope so. I don’t think the sexy long eyelash look will be working for you if everybody is distracted by your freaky eye color and skin discoloration.

Personally, I use mascara on a regular basis and I still make a mess every now and then. I would also have to think that the consistency is going to have to be an important issue. I also wear false eyelashes and have gotten pretty good at it. I have managed not to glue my eyes shut and with a enough practice not look like a cartoon character of myself.

So, I am wondering will all us naturally short, straight eye-lashed women try this new drug when it hits the market? Could it be any more work than the false eyelashes? I haven’t heard anything about how much they are going to charge for it. How much are we willing to spend? False eyelashes have enjoyed renewed enthusiasm over the past couple years as well as eyelash extensions becoming more popular. It seems as though the new Lumigan could be a natural progression for us slaves to sexy bedroom eyes.

As I read about Yves Saint Laurent’s passing I had an opportunity to reflect on the pants suit. There were accolades being written page after page from other fashion designers, honoring his work and commenting on the man who became the muse to so many others. I think I see it from a modern women’s perspective, which is what I would classify the GigisCloset.com customer to be as well.  Recently, there has been so much talk about pants suits with pioneering Mrs. Clinton running for the nomination. They are stylish, professional and above all practical.

In the 1970s, the women’s liberation movement got serious. Women were interested in working in an office and not as the secretary. Yves Saint Laurent’s launch of the unisex fashion pantsuit in the 70s empowered women at that time. He was creating clothes for women who needed something that allowed them to compete, to walk the fine line of femininity and assertiveness with class. As a woman of the 21^st century, with so many options professionally, I would like to thank Monsieur Saint Laurent.

Now, I have to wonder what are those trail blazing women in pants suits wearing underneath. Animal print underwear I hope. Let’s not take life too seriously.

Supposedly, ysl dabbled in lingerie. I couldn’t dig up any pictures and I apologize for that. But I found this sketch and it really made me think that he could create some amazing chemises and bedroom pieces.
