So, sometimes when we get new arrivals to the boutique I think about the lingerie and who would buy this or look really good in that. And, the easiest people to shop for are celebrities. Their personal style is part of their branding as actors or singers.
We recently got in a slip and cami set from Free People and it screams Kate Hudson.
Here is Kate Hudson. I found a picture with no clothes so that it will be easier to picture her with what ever I pick. This is a little like playing with paper dolls only on the Gigi blog.

This is a slip from Free People called Anastasia. It is a gold silk slip that you can choose to wear to bed to under a dress or even as a dress itself, which is what I think Kate Hudson would opt for. The color would be perfect with her complexion too.

Marie Antoinette opens October 20th, exploring the life and times of the ill-fated Queen of France.   Marie Antoinette has come to represent the ultimate in excess and decadance wearing some of the fanciest and most opulant clothing in history.  Under her jewel-encrusted gowns, she would wear a plethora of undergarments to create this dramatic silhouette.  A stay, or corset, structured with whalebone(and even steel) and ‘false hips’, or later called ‘panniers’ or ‘bustle’, helped to create this complicated structure of a dress.  The ’false hips’ would be made of horsehair and linen fabrics, steel hoops and more whalebone.  She’d also be wearing a petticoat waistcoat and skirt, for warmth, a loose chemise, silk knitted stockings, and even add padding for more cleavage.
